Colbert MD Soothe Night Cream | Review

Press Sample (Affiliate Links)

I have recently received a large number of requests for the recommendation of an ultra soothing and comforting face cream that is capable of working wonders on very irritated skin. The variety of concerns ranged from dry and irritated skin from the recent cold weather, to particularly inflamed and reactive skin (post peel or post microdermabrasion), to Rosacea flareups.

While my skin is decidedly normal to combination, it can be reactive, and the shift to colder weather can wreak havoc on my skin. When I want extra moisture, and a potent anti-aging night cream that works wonders on inflamed and irritated skin, Colbert MD Soothe Night Cream is my moisturizer of choice. It is ultra-soothing, luxuriously rich in moisture, and exceedingly lightweight. It sinks into skin quickly and leaves skin luminous and deeply moisturized. Furthermore, fine lines are plumped and skin is left soft, smooth and supple.

Colbert MD Soothe Night Cream really excels in its considerable ability to combat inflamed, irritated and red skin. Each time that I have a peel or microdermabrasion, my finicky skin can become reactive and red, and Soothe Night Cream eradicates the irritation and redness almost immediately. Additionally, it leaves skin feeling soothed and comforted. While the results are nearly immediate, one really sees a noticeable difference the following morning.

I would be remiss if I didn't convey the extent to which this cream is a joy to use. The silky smooth texture of the cream is very emollient and luxurious to the touch, and it truly a decadent treat to use. If you love high quality skincare products that are luxe in every way, then this is an absolute must-try cream.

While I do not have Rosacea, a good friend of mine does, and this is her longtime cream of choice. She has been through countless jars, and wouldn't even consider using another night cream because her results are so pronounced. She claims that this cream keeps her Rosacea in check, and that when she uses this cream each night she is able to stave off flareups.
According to Colbert MD, Soothe Night Cream is:

  1. I remember you writing about this skincare brand in the past, and it sounds like heaven, in spite of the fact that it reminds me of Stephen Colbert MD and his phony pharmaceutical brand!

  3. Hey Helen I have this cream and love it just like you. I recently got this and the eye serum and already have the oil eye cream and serum. This is such a great line. I also per your review got the African botanics neroli oil, oxygenating cleanser and serum for Christmas can't wait to get my hands on them. Have you tried the farmacy line? You'd love it. Melissa

    1. I'm so glad that you love this as well, and I agree that this is such a great line! I can't wait to hear what you think about the African Botanics products that you ordered! I am obsessed with their line, and am smitten with their new products. In fact, I just posted my review of their new hand cream this morning! I haven't tried the farmacy line yet, but I will definitely have to try it out– especially if you think that I'd love it! xo, Helen

  4. I'm going to bookmark this post, because next year we'll be leaving warm south florida and moving back to cold NJ and when I'm in cold weather my skin is SO painfully dry!

  5. The few things I've used from Colbert MD have been wonderful and this sounds that way too. I had gotten a few things to review and then someone used my information and their address to request products. When the company asked me about the reviews I was in shock and sad it wasn't me that got them.

    1. It is pure luxury, and it does a phenomenal job taking care of the skin. It might be worth trying to find a sample, but it really shouldn't cause you to break out– especially if you use it sparingly.

  10. I think it is such attention to detail when a company includes a little spatula for scooping out of the jar they put their product in. This sounds like a really nice one and I think I would enjoy it.

    1. It really is amazing, Kristin. While the price is high, it is quite concentrated– so a single jar will last a very long time.
