Colbert MD Nourish Eye Cream | Review

Longtime readers are, no doubt, well aware of my eye cream obsession. This obsession is two-fold: its basis can be found in my genuine love of high quality luxury eye creams on the one hand, and in a deep and abiding interest in finding the best eye creams that do not produce milia, on the other. Rich eye creams filled with mineral oil, petrolatum and other occlusives, which form a physical barrier over the skin to reduce moisture loss, also have the distinction of being comedogenic, and if you are prone to milia in your under eye region these ingredients can be very problematic. That I am prone to milia means that I am an avid label reader, and I have a decided preference for lighter texture eye creams that are fast absorbing, exceedingly hydrating and truly nourishing.

Therefore, it is with this in mind that I find myself absolutely thrilled by my results with Colbert MD Nourish Eye Cream. Not only does it meet my criteria as a lightweight, fast absorbing, deeply hydrating and nourishing eye cream, but it is also feels refreshing and very soothing, and it leaves behind no greasy film. It has the most satisfying light texture, that almost feels whipped, and yet it imparts more than enough moisture. It is also fragrance-free– therefore people with sensitive eyes, like me, can use it without concern of irritation.

Nourish Eye Cream also treats my periodic dark circles, reduces puffiness and softens the appearance of fine lines. Furthermore, it leaves the delicate skin under my eyes unmistakably soft, supple, lifted, even in tone and luminous. My skin has a healthy glow whenever I use this eye cream, and it serves as a fantastic base for any concealer that I may use. I suppose your real question is whether or not Nourish Eye Cream has ever given me milia, and my answer is a resounding no!
According to Colbert MD,

Renews youthful suppleness to the entire eye area by reducing the appearance of wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness.

Natural ingredients in their active state encourage the skin to self heal, ultimately firming and rehydrating the delicate area around the eyes. Promotes collagen production while brightening skin, eliminating dark circles and reducing under-eye puffiness. Helps reverse the appearance of lines and wrinkles and renews youthful suppleness to the entire eye area.

Gently dab onto eye area with ring fingers morning and night.

Key Ingredients:

Ascorbyl Glucoside: A potent Vitamin C derivative that lightens dark circles and reverses aging dyspigmentation.

Aescin: Improves microcirculation and reduces puffiness while fighting inflammation.

Environment Protective Complex: A trio of defenses against environmental stressors: Coenzyme Q10 protects skin from UV damage,Genistein blocks free radicals and Lipoic Acid Omega 6 Oil replenishes essential fatty acids.

  4. This looks like a gorgeous, hydrating eye cream but in my experience, topical Vitamin C is not the thing for my dark circles. Unfortunately. *sad face*

    1. You definitely don't want it to multiply! I found a product that helps get rid of milia, if you need one! Try Ole Henricksen Truth is in the Eyes– you can get a sample to try at Sephora to see if you like it.

This is an excellent eye cream, and since you are milia prone you will find tha tit gives you all of the moisture and nourishment that you need without clogging the skin and creating milia!

  11. This sounds so lux and if you say it is a great buy even with the price, it must be. I love an eye product that helps to reduce inflammation... because when my eczema flares up - sometimes my eyes get the worst brunt of it. This sounds great.

    1. It is very luxe, and I definitely think that it is well worth the price! A little goes a very long way, and it is so hydrating and nourishing. I think that you would really like, and my guess is that even when you are in the midst of a flare-up that your skin would react favorably to this eye cream.

    1. For me as wel! There is no question that this is expensive, but it delivers on its claims, and you only need to use a little bit– so a jar should last a good long while!

  13. Hey Helen I'm just about done with my Sunday Riley start over which really helps my dark under eye circles, is the Colbert MD more for hydration and fine lines? Also I got my tatcha moisturizer and oil and it is AMAZING. it is everything you said and more thank you Helen

    1. Hey Melissa! I definitely find that Colbert MD Nourish treats my dark circles very well, and it is great on the rare days that I have puffy eyes. I find it much more nourishing and hydrating than Start Over, and it definitely plumps my fine lines. If you are looking for something that also exfoliates, then I would suggest the Verso eye serum that we talked about before. For moisture though, this is definitely more hydrating than Sunday Riley or Verso. The Colbert MD also is quite concentrated, so I find that I am able to get great results with the smallest amount.

    2. I am so happy that you love your TATCHA moisturizer and oil– I knew that you would love them! You and I really have such similar taste in skincare! :-)

    3. We really do lol Im loving my tatcha deep hydrating serum as well. Have you tried any drunk elephant serums? They've gotten great reviews I think I want to try their vitamin c serum and night serum

    4. No question! Oh, yes the TATCHA Deep Hydrating Serum is absolutely lovely! I haven't yet tried Drunk Elephant serums, but I have been eyeing their Marula Oil for quite a while. The Night Serum and the Vitamin C Serum both look really good. The ingredients in the Night Serum look like they would be really good for exfoliating the skin and reducing hyperpigmentation! Hmmm, I'm getting VERY curious! LOL!

    5. Helen dermstore is having 20-30% off depending on what you spend so I got both drunk elephant serums with 43.00 off. If your interested you can get the oil for a great discount. I also just ordered 4 of May lindstroms products I'm so excited to get those and the other tatcha deep brightening serum I can't wait

    6. Thanks for the heads-up, my dear friend! I will have to do check it out. I'm in bed with a head-cold :-( so I may be able to talk myself into lots of NyQuil induced purchases! I can't wait to hear what you think about your purchases! What a GREAT savings!

  14. Helen, can you compare this eye cream with the Cle De Peau one? Thanks!

    1. I have a few deluxe samples of the Cle de Peau eye cream, but I don't recall having used it recently. I will dig it out and start testing it soon, and then I will give you my thoughts on it. :-) Are you trying to decide between the two?

  15. I purchased the Cle de Peau and have been using it with good results but it is SO expensive. This one is less---so if it works as well, I'd be up for a change when my Cle de Peau runs out. (Add to my list for the Barney's event.)

    1. The CdP is really expensive! I think that you might really love the Colbert MD eye cream. I have been using the CdP eye cream since we started this discussion, and so far I can tell you that I prefer the texture of the Colbert MD because it feels more emollient, it is lighter and faster absorbing. If I had to choose between the two at this very moment, I would choose Colbert MD, BUT I haven't used the CdP long enough yet to make any meaningful comments about it. I suspected that you were already starting to make your bag event list! :-)

  16. Both my friend and I had visible improvements with the CDP. I have fewer issues than she does but she had visible improvements in three days. I think that is astounding.

    2. What did you end up deciding?

    3. I still haven't decided. I am stocked up on all of my favorite skincare brands so I have to take a close look at what I have to see if I can find anything that I really want.
