Nail Butter in Lemongrass | Review

Press Sample (Unaffiliated Links)

I have to confess that I have always been pretty inconsistent in applying nail and cuticle creams and oils. It's not that I don't like them, or see their benefit– it's just that I tend to forget to apply them before dozing off to sleep each night. That, however, changed after the first night of using Nail Butter, and the reason for my newfound commitment came inside this gorgeous polka dot-laden glass jar. It's not just that it contains a beautifully rich and emollient butter that is creamy dreamy to apply and ultra-moisturizing, but the Lemongrass scent is so intoxicatingly beautiful that I simply can't get enough of it. The scent alone has transformed my once humdrum experience of massaging cream into my cuticles to one that is extraordinarily satisfying. When I massage Nail Butter into my nails as cuticles it is as though there are Lemongrass fireworks filling the air around me. The scent is succulent and delicious, and it makes my nightly routine of nourishing my nails and cuticles one that is highly anticipated rather than mostly forgotten about!

I suppose the real question is whether or not Nail Butter works well in its capacity as a nourishing and moisturizing treatment for the skin and nails, and my answer is a resounding yes. It leaves my skin and nails nourished and moisturized, and my skin is softer than soft can be!
According to Nail Butter,

Nail Butter is available in Gardenia and Lemongrass (I think that my ingredients label may belong to the Gardenia Nail Butter since mine is clearly Lemongrass).
Overall Assessment: I have to admit that it was the luscious Lemongrass aroma that got me hooked on using Nail Butter every night, but the undeniable improvement in the state of my nails and cuticles will keep me using this jar nightly until the very last drop.

  1. I never bother with a dedicated nail/cuticle oil because the beauty oils I use are all purpose--Tatcha, Sisley, Olio Lusso, etc. I always rub some into my nails and cuticles morning and night. They absorb quickly, give my nails a natural looking lustre, and they have a delightful scent. Since I have allergies and blow my nose frequently, my hands spend a lot of time in the vicinity of my nose. LOL If the scent doesn't please me, it's a deal breaker. When in the kitchen, I often work olive oil into my nails. It's not as nice as the beautifully scent oils that I prefer, but since my hands are in and out of water during food prep, the heavier oil does the trick.

I don't have anything against nail/cuticle oils. It's just that I already have such lovely products that do the job. If I weren't such an advocate for beauty oils, perhaps I'd be interested in something specifically for nails like this lemon scented one.

    1. Hi Eileen,

Nor have I, but the Lemongrass aroma is so delightful that I find myself reaching for it every night! DEspite the fact that I am completely devoted to luxury oils, I often forget to massage them into my cuticles! I need to do that with any excess that I apply to my face! :-)

  3. I like that it's a glass jar - makes me feel like it's more professional. I need to get back into the habit of putting on lotion - it's been hard with the baby who wants to put my hands in his mouth!

    1. The glass jar is a wonderful detail! It makes sense not to right now with the little munchkin chewing on your hands!

  4. It sounds like a nice product. I just prefer cuticle treatments in pen form. I'm not a fan of dipping my finger in a pot, whether it's hand or body care or lip balm.

    1. It is a really lovely product, but if you prefer the convenience of a pen then this might not be for you. The smell, however, is absolutely divine!

  10. I'm not really big on a lemongrass scent, so I'd be piling on lotion after using :) hahaha

    1. If you aren't a fan of lemongrass, then this one definitely isn't for you, but they do have it available in Gardenia as well. I haven't smelled that one, but my guess is that it's scrumptious! :-)

  14. I have been hearing such great things about this nail butter. My cuticles dry quickly and I moisturize them several times a day but also wash dishes several times a day so I would totally pick this up.

    1. It's super effective and luxurious feeling on the skin, but if you neither like Lemongrass, nor Gardenia then these probably wouldn't be the best picks for you!
