Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in Nude Dip Repromoted and Permanent | Get Yours Now!

(Affiliate Links)

As you may remember, the star of the Tom Ford Beauty Fall 2014 Color Collection was the stunningly beautiful Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in Nude Dip. This twinkling gem was limited edition, and as such it predictably sold out quickly. In fact, it did so well, and left so many people without the highly coveted palette, that Tom Ford Beauty has repromoted it and made it part of the permanent core line!

Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in Nude Dip is a stunning warm-leaning neutral, and infinitely wearable palette. It is applied wet on the left and dry on the right, and works beautifully both ways.

While Nude Dip may not boast particularly unique colors make no mistake about it-- this is a palette of exquisite beauty and extraordinary quality. The texture is creamy and silky, and it is so finely milled that it just melts into the skin. Used wet or dry, this is an arrestingly beautiful palette.
If you love taupes, then this is definitely a must-have palette!
Overall Assessment: This is my very favorite Tom Ford Eye Color Quad of all time. It is one of the creamiest high quality palettes from Tom Ford Beauty, and the colors are absolute neutral taupe perfection.

$79.00 ( £63.00) for 0.21 oz. from Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdale's, Harrods & Selfridges (Affiliate Links).

  1. Why do all the shadows have shimmer these days? I can't use shimmer and haven't purchased a shadow in years because of it.

    1. There are actually some excellent quality mate shadows and palettes out there right now! Tom Ford's Cocoa Mirage Quad, numerous shades from Rouge Bunny Rouge and Urban Decay as well!

  2. I knew you would know them if they existed! Thanks. I will check those out at some point. I've grown lazy after not wearing shadow for so long (not to mention I am particularly inept at shadow application).

    1. They do indeed, and there are a good many of them that are worth having. Just in case you didn't see Marcia's response– she stated the following about great mattes, "Good matte palettes I can recommend are tarte's new one, UD Basic, IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty." I get lazy about applying shadow a lot of the time, and on the days that I am teaching I tend to wear minimal makeup to begin with. That said, it is super easy to apply a simple wash of color on the lid along with a little liner and mascara to get a polished look when you want to wear a little shadow.

  3. This is making me change my mind about not buying. I love the subtle shimmer in it.

    1. In my opinion, this is the best quad in terms of quality, finishes, and textures. It is creamy, ultra finely milled and gorgeous. The taupe is just your type of shade as well! The shimmer is definitely gorgeous. I really do think that it is hands down the best quad from TF.

Thank you for offering up cpl100 so many great options for matte shadows! <3

  4. What a seriously gorgeous quad! I am a sucker for these shades (as evidenced by the many, many eyeshadows I have in just these colors!).

    1. HI Jessica, IMHO it is by far the best quad that TF has made. It is buttery smooth and ultra-finely milled. I agree with you about the colors, these are the hues that I like to wear the most!

  5. Now now Sis first you turned me from light to dark (ref. lipsticks) & after looking at this review/swatches, I really feel like getting this (not that I need 2much persuasion regarding TF products altho big frown at his nail polish!). I love how despite being 'nudes' the intensity looks bling & there doesn't seem 2be that much difference between wet & dry which is great. Admittedly some of the shades look very similar 2 Laura Mercier Caviar Stick colours I've got but who knows..I may not be able 2 resist 'finely milled' & 'buttery' (gosh, I feel like eating it!) for 2 long! Good thing it's permanent now so can make a considered decision. How do u wear the shades-alone, together?

By the way, my pink tease matte arrived earlier in the week & love it...adore the bubblegum barbie shade & the finish...dare I say it's my current fav pink of all (quite some declaration considering my list of pinks as u well know). As a fellow pink lips lover..u NEED this :)

    1. Haha, I love the idea of helping to bring you over to the dark side with respect to lipsticks! I thought that you might respond this way to Nude Dip once you actually took a closer look! Certainly the gorgeous shimmer and sheen may remind you a bit of the LM Caviar Sticks that you love, but since this is a powder you will definitely find the texture different. I definitely think that you should take a look at it because I think that you would actually use this one rather than let it collect dust. The colors are infinitely wearable, but there is enough bling to it (without being over the top) that is has great visual interest.

You've convinced me, Sis, Pink Tease will be mine! <3 I am so happy that you love it!

    2. U certainly make a very convincing case for Nude dip & that's saying something for someone who generally finds taupes humdrum! Am looking fwd 2trying it. Although the cost of the eyeshadows I really do find crazy (I know that sounds mad coming from me who spends gazillions on TF lipsticks!) I only just noticed how much the cream shadow pots in the summer collection are & had to rub my eyes to make sure I wasn't seeing things!

Yes it must be yours too! I wasn't expecting to love Pink Tease as much as I do & can't believe I ignored it completely from the range (due to light pink lipstick self ban!).

    3. These taupes aren't humdrum in the least. Save your money if you don't think that you will wear it, but I suspect that you will want it once you have tried it! There is no question that the price of his quads are dry very pricey! Yes, the Summer cream/powder duos are very expensive– you have to know that you will really use both of the shadows to justify the price!

I'm so happy that you are this captivated by Pink Tease– especially after your newfound love of the vampy shades!

  6. Whew that price. But good that it's not LE anymore!

    1. No question that they are super pricey! This quad definitely needed to be part of the permanent line!

  7. Helen, I just want to come over some day and look at all your beautiful makeup. I have never used any Tom Ford makeup, and where I live out in exurbia/suburbia, the brand isn't even available. Your description of the quality of the shadows and how they blend and melt into the skin sounds so wonderful. I can't even imagine what it must be like to apply. Have you tried Viseart, and if so, it is similar to that brand? At any rate, Nude Dip certainly is a gorgeous palette, and next time I get to Saks or Barney's (I don't even think it's in the Nordstrom near me), I will gaze upon it!!

    1. I will be eagerly awaiting your arrival, Allison! It may be a blessing for you that there are no counters nearby! That could be saving you lots of money and temptation! The quality of this quad is amazing! I don't have any Viseart in my stash, so I have no idea how the texture and finish compares to Nude Dip. I would definitely recommend seeing this quad in person for yourself to determine whether it is worth the splurge, or whether you have close enough dupes to just appreciate it from afar instead of buying it.

    1. That, or run by the counter with your eyes closed and pretend it doesn't exist (like I did unsucessfully years ago). Tom Ford definitely makes amazing products, and once you go down that rabbit hole there is no way back!
