At Home Spa Experience with Le Mieux: Icy Revitalizing Mask, Moisture Infusion Mask and Eye & Lip Cream | Review

Press Sample (Unaffiliated Links)

Who among us does not relish in the idea of recreating the spa experience from the comfort (and convenience) of home? I certainly do because getting a facial takes time and can be quite expensive, and for most it is a special occasion treat rather than something indulged in with any regularity.

Furthermore, as the weather cools down skin can be left more vulnerable and traumatized by the extremes in temperature. Therefore, this is a good time to pay special attention to the needs of your skin, and treating yourself to moisture infused masks is a wonderful place to start.

My most recent at-home facial ritual is an easy, yet utterly luxurious, combination of three astoundingly effective products from the professional line Le Mieux. I am so smitten by these products, and their results that I want to shout about it from the rooftop-- which is essentially what I am doing in this review.
In the first step I apply the Le Mieux Icy Revitalizing Mask to freshly cleansed skin. This is a wonderfully refreshing clay mask that makes the skin tingle in the most pleasant way.

Le Mieux describes their Icy Revitalizing Mask features,

3 exotic clays and 8 botanical extracts, this detoxifying mask is specially formulated to purify and re-energize tired, congested skin. Ideal for acne-prone or sensitive skin, the Icy Revitalizing Mask unclogs pores, while clearing and toning the skin to help reduce the appearance of blemishes. The refreshing Icy Revitalizing Mask also soothes irritation, inflammation, and redness, leaving skin feeling moisturized and soft.
Le Mieux suggests leaving Icy Revitalizing Mask for about 8-10 minutes until it is fully dry, but I often leave it on longer if my pores are more congested. Once I rinse it off I note that my skin is soft, smooth, supple, moisturized, balanced and pores are unclogged. It does everything that one would expect from a clay mask, but instead of leaving skin dried out it leaves it moisturized.

Skin Type: Normal, Combination, Oily, Acne
$15.00 for 2 oz. / 60 ml
Available from My Skincare Box.
Directly following the removal of the Icy Revitalizing Mask I apply the Le Mieux Moisture Infusion Mask. If you love sheet masks, then this generously soaked serum mask will truly delight you!
According to Le Mieux,

This refreshing, serum-infused mask soothes and hydrates dry, sensitive, and stressed skin. Formulated with the most stable form of Vitamin C (Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate), the mask brightens dull complexions and provides a unique cooling sensation. Features 3 anti-aging peptides, 8 botanical extracts, and marine collagen to help minimize the appearance of expression lines and wrinkles and promote smooth, radiant skin.

Suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive, the Moisture Infusion Mask features a bio-delivery infusion process to immediately relieve dry, dehydrated skin. Featuring hyaluronic acid, marine collagen, vitamin B & C, caviar extract and peptides, this easy-to-use sheet mask also helps minimize the appearance of expression lines and wrinkles. The soothing Moisture Infusion Mask brightens dull complexions, leaving skin looking and feeling radiant.

I am a huge proponent of hydrating sheet masks, and Moisture Infusion Mask is definitely one of my favorites. I leave this generously saturated mask on my face for about 20-30 minutes, and when I remove it I massage the serum into my skin. They are so generous with the amount of serum used in each sheet mask that I squeeze more out of the mask and use what was left behind in the packet. There is enough to apply more to the face, neck, décolleté and arms. Skin is left intensely hydrated, fine lines are plumped, and skin is left remarkably bright and luminous.
Skin Type: All skin types
$25.00 for 4 Masks.
Available from My Skincare Box.
The final step in my luxurious at-home spa experience involves the most unusual of the three products featured, and I will warn you that I am completely obsessed with it! The Le Mieux Lip & Eye Cream is truly unlike anything else that I have ever used. Not only is it a brilliant multitasker, but the appearance and texture are mesmerizing.
According to Le Mieux their Eye & Lip Cream is,

Designed for use on the both the eyes and lips, this rich, peptide-infused concentrate increases firmness, improves elasticity and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The specialized formula has potent antioxidant properties that help reverse the effects of free radicals, while protecting from future damage. The Eye & Lip cream also featured 3 ultra-hydrating lipids for intensive moisture.

This thick and rich gel like formula is infused with stunningly beautiful iridescent particles that melt in the skin and leave behind an unbelievable luminosity. The peptide and lipid rich formula works wonders in its ability to deeply hydrate and protect the delicate skin around the eyes and on the lips. I simply pump a small amount on my ring finger and gently pat it into the delicate under eye area and then spread the remaining amount on my lips. The result is silky smooth, ultra supple skin that is luminous, glowing and hydrated. It feels so good that you might be tempted to over use it, but it really isn't necessary since the effects are long lasting.
Skin Type: Dry, Mature, Normal, Sensitive

About Le Mieux:

Le Mieux offers a comprehensive range of intensive skincare products combining innovative state-of-the-art formula derived from extensive anti-aging and cell growth research with the latest break-through in natural ingredients.

Le Mieux serums do not contain water and in the skin care world this is almost unheard of. Every Le Mieux product improves the texture and tone of your skin. As with all of our skin care lines, we recommend alternating the products as you finish them to fully experience all that the line has to offer.

Le Mieux is driven by a team of scientific skin care visionaries who strive to break through and revamp the industry’s filler-based pandemic. The elite group includes expert cell biologists, medical doctors, pharmacists, as well as organic and cosmetic chemists. From their vision, Le Mieux developed groundbreaking skincare innovations that regenerate skin from deep within the cellular matrix, providing healthier, visibly younger skin.

Le Mieux Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) is widely recognized by both medical and aesthetic professionals today. As our skin matures, the process of effective cell renewal diminishes rapidly and efficiency along with the loss of cell communication. EGF technology crucially improves this communication allowing older cells to replicate a nutrient-rich version of their cells to restore and rebuild a striking, youthful brilliance.

With our scientific breakthroughs, such as revolutionary Cell Growth Research in wound repair and advanced Bio Peptide Technology in anti-aging, our products have gained global recognition, multiple internationally distinguished awards, and features in respected publications worldwide.

Overall Assessment: After using all three products my skin looks and feels amazingly balanced, nourished, hydrated, plumped and luminous. Each of the three products featured can certainly be used alone, but together they deliver amazing results that replicate an expensive profession spa treatment in the comfort of your home. I am so excited by these products that I definitely want to further explore this extraordinarily high quality line.

    1. Hi Destany, The cream is so unique, and quite frankly I'm nearly irrationally obsessed with it. Don't get me wrong I really like the masks a great deal, but that Eye & Lip Cream is so unlike anything that I have ever tried and I really really love it!

    1. Hi Kristina, It definitely is an amazing combination of lovely products! You should definitely try a sheet mask at some point– especially if your skin is feeling a little dehydrated. The Eye & Lip Cream is so unusual, and it's so good that I am completely obsessed with it! :-)

  4. I like the idea of this spa treatment in-home. (Heaven knows I've spent enough on facials in spas!). However, I am thinking this mask may not be right for my skin which, though tending to be sensitive, is not acneic, oily or combination. I looked up the line online and it seems that maybe the hyaluronic or lavender one may be more appropriate.

    1. I definitely think that the Moisture Infusion Mask would be a better fit for your skin than the clay-based mask– unless of course you use it periodically to detoxify and decongest– if that is ever even necessary for your skin. I would definitely think that they hyaluronic based masks would be excellent for you during this cold weather– especially since you live in a colder region!

  5. What exactly do you mean by detoxify and decongest? I'm not sure if I really understand that term? thanks.

    1. I mean draw out impurities, remove gunk (dirt, toxins and excessive sebum etc.) from clogged pores. I think that clay type masks tend to be of more benefit for normal, combination and oily skin types. However, that's not to say that people with drier skin don't occasionally feel the need to unclog pores. From the way that you have described your skin, it sounds like you want to be adding moisture and hydration more than anything. I hope that you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
