Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream Review

Yu-Be products have a cult-following for good reason, and most who have entered the fold began with their famous Moisturizing Skin Cream. This is a thick, rich and concentrated cream that sinks into the skin quickly, and it makes short work of restoring dry skin to happy moisturized skin. A little goes a very long way, so even with regular use a tube or jar should last a while (unless of course you succumb to the temptation and slather it everywhere because it feel so good). Not only is Yu-Be a versatile cream that can be used on the body, face, and lips-- but it is also one of the 7 wonders of the world that can make the driest of hands and cuticles look and feel soft, supple, hydrated and restored. While I have tried it on my lips and on my body-- I have not tried it on my face. I will say that lately my hands and cuticles have been dry, and this cream really has had a miraculous effect. Like the divine Yu-Be Lip Balm (reviewed here), their Moisturizing Skin Cream also contains Camphor. The scent dissipates nearly immediately after it is applied to the skin, but if you are sensitive, allergic, or intolerant to this ingredient you should be aware that it is among the listed ingredients. I find the scent, albeit short lived, very pleasant and comforting.

According to the company,

Yu-Be, Japan's best-selling medicated, vitamin-enriched moisturizing skin cream, is a non-petroleum hydration formula that heals and smooths rough, cracked and dry skin. Glycerin composition protects against intense weather and environmental conditions that irritate and damage skin. Formulated with all-natural ingredients like Vitamin E and B2 for a soft, renewed skin. Versatile for body, face and lips.
Ingredients: Glycerin, Water, Isopropyl Myristate, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Triethanolamine, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Glycyrrhetinic Acid, Camphor 0.8%, Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Hydrogenated Coco-glycerides, Stearyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 80, EDTA, Methylparaben.
Overall assessment: This is undoubtedly one of the best creams that I have tried in a very long, and I can tell you right now that when I finish this tube I will be buying the large size!

$16.00 for 1.25 oz. & $25.00 for 2.5 oz. From Yu-Be, Nordstrom (small & large), Sephora (small & large), Dermstore (small & large), SkinStore (small & large) and Beauty.com (Affiliate Links).

  1. I first tried this when it first came out in Sephora and I loved it. I enjoy using the product because I know it will work and the medicinal scent seems to add more too to renew the look and feel of my hands.

    1. My sister did the same thing! She saw it while standing in line and grabbed it because she needed a hand cream for her purse, and she immediately fell in love with it. My hands look and feel renewed when I use it as well, and the medicinal smell doesn't bother me in the least! It's just a fabulous cream! :-)
