Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill 4 Shadow Shimmer Palette No.10 (Mirage): Review & Swatches

Purchased by me. Affiliate links.
Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill 4 Shadow Shimmer Palette No.10 (Mirage) is a decidedly warm neutral palette, and one that is generally warmer than I tend to gravitate toward. However, there is a gorgeous complexity to this palette that caught my attention-- and still more shocking was the fact that it actually worked on my cool-toned skin, and it made my hazel eyes pop!
The texture of each shade in this quad is creamy dreamy with excellent pigmentation. Each shadow is ultra finely milled and spreads across the skin like butter. While Mirage is a more subtle palette, the colors are quite buildable and are capable of either being sheered out or built up to maximum opacity.
The sheen in each shade is stunning and refined- never a glitter-fest!
Left to Right (corresponds top to bottom in the quad): Pink-peach shade with lovely shimmer; golden-ivory shimmer, golden-peach with shimmer; and a complex warm brown shimmer.
The magnificence it seen in the metamorphoses that Mirage undergoes as the light dances across the surface of these ethereal hues.
Pure unmitigated beauty.

Overall assessment: Gorgeous and infinitely wearable.

  1. This palette makes me feel like stepping out of my lazy comfort zone and wear eye shadow. I love the look of eye shadows but I find putting on lipstick so much faster and easier that I usually neglect eye make up entirely :/
That pinky peach and that golden peach are just glorious.
Have a wonderful night. Send many hugs on my behalf to your lovely creatures!

    1. It is a very easy to wear palette, and definitely is beautiful on! The pinky peach is great for a simple wash of color! The golden peach is stunning as well. It's definitely much faster to put on lipstick or lip gloss and run out of the house, but this palette is so easy to use, and I find that it requires almost no effort. I'm definitely more of a quick wash of color on the lid with some liner and a touch of mascara kind of girl. I don't generally have the time or the patience for elaborate eye makeup looks. If ever you are in the market for a palette- I would definitely take a look at the 4 newer palettes from Armani (of which this was one). I will definitely hug my babies for you-- in fact Lola is on my lap purring at this very moment! Have a lovely weekend! :-)

  2. Very pretty but I think I like the one you swatched yesterday better. (I say this to save me money!!)

    1. I definitely prefer the taupe palette that I reviewed yesterday as well- since I am over-the-moon for taupe eyeshadows. This one is definitely a beauty though! It is very creamy and easy to blend!
