Fresh Glow in Bronze blended
Available at Nordstrom, Burberry (No. 02)

Here are Evelyn's observations,

The creams spread well with either a brush or your finger. I had them on all day and no creasing, fading or patchiness and it's very humid here today. They will smudge if you rub your eye.

There was good color payoff with one pass of the brush though I found the light turquoise on palette 1 applied more sheerly. It built up well, though.

The dark brown in palette 2 reminds me of the dark cream shadow Tom Ford did for his first Estée Lauder collection.

The Fresh Glow is darker in the bottle than it photographed. The small pump of it on my hand is fairly true to color. It looks very shimmery when blended out but that was a lot if product on the back of my hand. On the face it's sheer, a pretty bronze tint with some shimmer. Not off putting. I wore it today with the original Burberry foundation over top and it probably would work better blended in to foundation or as a highlighter. I have the liquid Chanel Soleil Tan which is slightly lighter and cooler toned on me. (I wear Vitalumiere in 20 or Lingerie de Peau in 3.)

I got tons of compliments today on the ES. I used colors from both palettes and patted Pale Gold in the centre of the lid.

  1. I am really looking forward to their Fall stuff.. Everyone's putting out fall launches and they're still doing summer. That said, its so unusual to see blues from Burberry. Blues don't look thaaat great on me, so I'm probably going to skip the palettes. Are you getting anything?

    1. Hi Appu!!! I am too! They definitely launched really late in the season in the US-- and the buzz really is all about Fall now! I agree, the blues are such an unusual trend for Burberry, and in a cream formula no less! Of the two palettes No. 02 could work for me, but I would really like to see and swatch in person before committing. I am definitely interested in the Luminous Glow Highlighting Powder, but I would like to go see the whole collection and decide whether I will buy or save my pennies for their Fall Collection. It only appears that that eyeshadow palettes are Limited Edition- so if they are stupendous in person I may cave. What about you, are you considering anything from the collection?

    2. From this collection, I wanted the Fresh Glow powder, but I guess its permanent, so I'll wait :) I wish there was a lip mist or two but nothing, so saving up for the fall collection :) I'm hoping Pale Barley will be back then too!! Would love to know what you think if you get one of the two palettes!

    3. You and I are definitely interested in the same thing-- the Fresh Glow Powder is definitely the one thing that really speaks to me. I still haven't seen any of it in person-- only the swatches provided by Evelyn above. The eye palettes are pretty, but I'm not sure how much I would actually use them. That said, if they are exceptional in person- then I might cave, but the light blue is a color that I would never wear- so that virtually eliminates the first palette. Let me know what you think if/when you see it in person. I had heard that Pale Barley as well as Blossom Blush will be back in the Fall. Pale Barley is definitely one of my favorite shadows from them, and can't recommend it highly enough-- along with Midnight Brown. I really want to see the new Lip Mists that are coming in the fall as well. So much Burberry to love. Right now I am kind of losing my mind over the pictures of the two new Tom Ford Eyeshadow trios for fall. Fall collections are always so tempting, and Bellyhead's swatches of the Tom Ford are making me really want them. Of course at that price point I will definitely need to swatch them first. What else are you wanting from the Fall Collections?

    4. I knowww, there's going to be a Rosewood Lip Mist..can't wait!!! DIOR's fall is killing my wallet...one item at a time. I got the Bonne Etoile palette and a couple of Addict Extreme Lipsticks. I'm now waiting for the new blushes to come out which should be anytime this week/next. I do want to check out something from the Marc Jacobs line, but only after I see it in person! Ahh, too many pretty things this fall. Thankfully nothing from Guerlain wowed me! :)I have a soft spot for their Gloss d'Enfer Lip Glosses, but the fall colors this time aren't something I would get too much use out of :)

    5. I had heard about that one as well-- I will definitely buy that one!!! Believe it or not, I have resisted all of the Dior quints and lip pies. I have been waiting for the new cream blushes- and definitely am interested in the light pink one. I'm getting more curious about the Marc Jacobs line- I didn't buy any of the early offerings from Sephora because I really need to swatch and see first.I think that I will pass on Guerlain as well, but if the blush speaks to me in person- then I might cave. I have been underwhelmed by the eye shadow duo reviews-- so I think that I can safely say that I will save a pile there. I am afraid of the Tom Ford Collection like I said before, but who knows-- maybe when I swatch I will have a "meh" reaction!! :-)

  3. Same here, definitely waiting for the Fall launch. I am already switched mentally not to buy any more summer make-up ;-) I hope their Fall make-up is not launched in late October or something ;-))

  4. Big fan of Burberry, in particular, I love their foundations and highlighters. The powder in nude is stunning and I am lusting over that dark brown palette. Gorgeous!

    1. With as much Burberry stuff that I have collected, you would think that I would have a highlighter and a foundation from them! Other than Fresh Glow, I am sorely lacking-- must fix this!!!!!! The powder in nude is what is calling to me the most! I want to see the eyeshadow palettes in person, but of the two the one that you mentioned is the only one that i think that I could wear. I just love Burberry sooooo much! xoxo
