According to Nordstrom,

"Inspired by the colors of surf and sand, a beautiful palette takes you from a day at the beach to a night out on the town. Tucked into a space-saving compact, the hand-picked colors of the season are ready for home or on-the-go."
Beneath the name card is a very handy large mirror (shown above in the stock photo).
The Making Waves Eye & Cheek Palette includes one blush, one bronzer and six eye shadows
Each of the 8 shades is incredibly soft and silky. They are all very finely milled making application a dream.

Peach Glow Blush (top left): is a beautifully pigmented and silky smooth peachy coral with golden pearl.

Bronze Bronzer (bottom left): is a warm burnished umber. This richly pigmented bronzer can also be used to contour, and offers the perfect golden glow.

Moonlit Eye Shadow (top row second from left): is a lovely glowing moonlit oyster white that is not only gorgeous on the eyes, but it also makes for one stupendous highlighter for the face. It imparts the most subtle and sophisticated glow.

Dusty Pink Eye Shadow (top row third from the left): is a lovely and subtle soft cool-toned pink. Like Moonlit, it works beautifully on the eyes, but is likewise one stunning highlighter. It also imparts a very subtle and sophisticated sheen that is sure to delight even the most hard-to-please highlighter aficionado.

Soft Gray Eye Shadow (top row far right): What an unbelievably gorgeous and infinitely wearable gray. It is soft and silky, and is perfect for a quick wash of color on the lid to accompany a cat eye winged liner. I will hit the pan on this shade in no time flat.

Mocha Eye Shadow (bottom row second from the left): Taupe lovers rejoice- this is one gorgeous taupey brown! If you don't hit the pan on this amazing shade then you don't truly covet taupe eye shadows!

Mineral Eye Shadow (bottom row third from the left): this is a very wearable forest green that boasts a chameleon-like complexity. The sheen is refined and subtle, and it is one of the prettiest greens that I have seen in some time.

Slate Eye Shadow (bottom row far right): This is a gorgeous slate with a steely dark blue undercurrent. It is utterly stunning and infinitely wearable. This also makes for one stunning eye liner!
Left to right: Peach Glow Blush, Bronze, Moonlit, Dusty Pink, Soft Gray, Mocha, Mineral, and Slate.
All of the shades can be built up to maximum vibrancy and opacity or sheered out.
There is an ethereal glow to each of the shades, and the sheen is subtle and refined throughout this entire palette. Additionally, I noted excellent wear time across the board. The eye shadows lasted all day on me without creasing. Without a primer the colors only faded somewhat by the end of the day, but with a primer there was no fading whatsoever. That said, I do not have oily lids- so your wear time may vary. Neither the blush nor the bronzer faded on me, and while I have combination skin- my cheeks aren't in the least bit oily- therefore your wear time may differ from mine.
Overall assessment: An absolute must-have palette in my book. The quality is amazing, and yet the price is so affordable. The palette itself features an efficient magnetic closure, and it measures approximately 4" x 5".  Bravo Nordstrom- you knocked it out of the park with this palette!

This is also perfectly paired with the lovely Nordstrom 5 Piece Travel Brush Set in Bright Orange (reviewed here)!
