SPECIAL GIVEAWAY: Susan Thompson Cosmetics Mim's The Word Liquid Blush as Featured in my REDBOOK Interview!

I thought that I would kick off Black Friday with my first-ever contest featuring one of my top pick Holy Grail products.

As you are all aware by now, I am a devoted fan of Susan Thompson Cosmetics, and have yet to meet a more talented makeup artist. In fact, one of my all time favorite products from any line is her Mim's the Word Liquid Blush (for my full review click here). I love this product so much that I specifically referred to it in my recent REDBOOK interview when asked about great multitasking products (link to entire REDBOOK article). They wanted my advice on multitasking products that could be applied when you have little time or patience to use all of your regular products, and when you need to get out of the house quickly while still looking put together and polished. I said, "One of my very favorite products is Susan Thompson Cosmetics Liquid Blush in Mim's the Word, it's a gorgeous pink that is as lovely on the lips as it is on the cheeks, and it applies effortlessly, flawlessly, and quickly with the fingers."

  1. I would love to have this blush because, ever since reading your review on the product I have been dying to try it out, but I don't like buying products from the internet that I am not able to try out in person. It would give me the opportunity to try out her blush before going crazy and buying all the others. =) I can't say I'm going to be too creative here. I would most likely use it the way it is meant to be used: as a blush. I might give it a shot on my lips with some lip gloss, but that's really it. Maybe try it as an eyeshadow? I can't say I have any better ideas. You know my email, but its r.liane.axelrod (at) gmail (dot) com.

  2. I'm a double subscriber - email and gfc (Marcia). I've been dying for this since you first reviewed it. I'm a huge huge fan of cream and liquid blushes. I'd rather have this kind of blush than powder. I think it's more youthful looking. I'm not going to be creative since there's not a lot I can do that's original other than wear it and thank Susan Thompson every time I take it out and put it on. I like products like this because they are double duty and often can be used as a lipstain. My most creative use would be reviewing it with glee.

  3. Loved your article. You came across just as you do in your blog (I subscribe via email)friendly, knowledgeable and on the cutting edge of make up. I would use the blush as intended, on the lips too (with a little vitamin e stick) and for fun I would try is as a sheer eye lid color. I would love a chance to use this fab product!

  4. I would love to try a blush that you say you like even better than NARS Gaiety - which is my current HG blush! My uses of this would most likely veer towards the usually accepted uses - on my cheeks & lips with a bit of lip balm.

  5. Helen, your swatches are driving me crazy and I've already caved! :) I'm loving the pigmentation and the lovely texture from your pictures. Believe me, I need all the help I can get and I'm dying to try Susan's product. I will restrain myself from slathering it all over! I think Mim's the Word is going to be a great color to brighten me up just as it gets gloomy and gray around here. Thank you for this contest! Subscribing via email. Wondegondigo at gmail.com

  6. I'm subscribed via email! brazenbeautyblog (at) yahoo (dot) com. What a timely giveaway. I was reading "Making Faces" the other night, as ya do, and noticed that many of the looks were completed with liquid eyeshadows. Which sent me on a hunt around the internet to see what on earth liquid eyeshadows are, and where I could find one. This rather long-winded reply is to say, I would be interested in trying this as an eyeshadow (in addition to traditional applications, of course). Not sure if it would work... I would want to be very careful and perhaps not apply it too close to the lashline, but I am a fan of texture and trying things in ways that they aren't technically designed to be... Thank you so much for the giveaway!

  7. Thanks for the giveaway! :) I am subscribed as strawberry [dot] carnage [at] gmail [dot] com.

I would love to try this blush because, while I love the IDEA of liquid and cream blushes, I've yet to find one that actuallys works for me. My cheeks tend to eat blushes, so a pigmented but natural looking blush that could be easily applied and layered would be lovely. I also really appreciate that the line is cruelty-free & uses recycled packaging! Susan Thompson seems to be really passionate about the line, which I always like to see.

I would probably try this product as a blush, as a sheer lipgloss, as a gloss over a lipstick, and as a base beneath a powder blush to see if layering products might extend how long a product lasts on me. And I've been seeing people use bright colours in the brows as well -- wouldn't it be neat to try this as a base for pink eyebrows? I could also see using this in a strong pink eye look, such as this: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_roxtgNADYkQ/TMx-A5C7uCI/AAAAAAAACyA/OJPD-IljiYw/s1600/3259686747_e7e11aa861_o.jpg Love the almost watercolour-like effect & am thinking a liquid blush might do something similar...?

Also, I realized the other day that I don't have a single pink lip product!! I have nudes/neutrals and berries and reds, but no pinks!! So I would definitely like to win so I can have a pink lip product in my collection!!!

I don't think I would use it too unusually - just cheeks and lips.

I would really love to have Mim's the Word because I have very little time in the morning to get myself fixed up and need a good multi-tasking make-up! 20. I'd really like to have Mim's The Word because I've never tried Susan Thompson Cosmetics before. My friend Lola raves about STC and I trust her so I bet MtW is as gorgeous and a pleasure to apply as she says it is. I'd also like to try MtW because I usually go for warmer toned blushes, so this is a great chance to step outside my comfort zone. I am a boring person when it comes to makeup, so I'd use this as a blush and a lip tint. However, if I were in a silly mood and my poor fiancé were asleep, I'd decorate his face with MtW and take photos. This is totally feasible as he is not allergic to any of the ingredients in MtW, and he is allergic to a lot of stuff.

I've wanted to enter this giveaway since you first posted about it, but I couldn't think of anything clever to write. I still can't. This comment is the product of my addled, low-blood sugar-ed mind. I'm posting it because I know you'll still like me after reading this. Because YOU'RE AWESOME.

  21. Hi! I'm Whitney Evans and really enjoy reading your blog. I'm a newbie here and have just started to discover the world of nail and beauty blogs. I didn't read any of the other responses as not to copy their answers...so I hope mine is unique. I want to try this product because I am just starting to expand my beauty routine and have just begun to try other products that are not sold at the drugstore. I'm learning that I can mix and match beauty lines and that there are a ton of great beauty products out there. What really draws me to this product is that it is a multitasker and can be used in a pinch. My husband is getting ready to deploy with the Navy and I have two small kids under two and a half. It's hard to spend a lot of time on myself with two short people running around. This product would round out my expanding stash and will help me feel like a real person everyday. For some reason getting made-up makes me feel more confident, even if I don't leave the house. Thanks for offering this contest!

    1. Hi Whitney! Thank you- I'm so happy that you enjoy reading my blog-- that means a great deal to me! Susan Thompson Cosmetics Liquid Blushes are great multitasks that allow you to look put together in no time at all! It is perfect for busy women who barely have time to think of themselves-- so I think that you would find it a perfect product. I agree that taking a little time to pamper oneself goes a long way to making you feel ready to face the world. I often have so little time in the morning that I barely have the time to look in the mirror to make sure that I don't have toothpaste on my face- let alone apply makeup- LOL!! Therefore, I find products like this one invaluable because I can apply it to my cheeks with my fingers and put the leftover on my lips. Two more seconds to add a little eyeliner and mascara, and then grab my purse and run out the door! xoxo
