Giorgio Armani Nude Lip Set: Featuring Rouge D'Armani Beige 103 & Gloss D'Armani Beige 103- Review & Swatches

Nordstrom is offering a wonderful Armani Nude Lip Set featuring Rouge D'Armani Lipstick in Beige 103 (reviewed here) and Gloss D'Armani 103. They even included a small velvet clutch for good measure. Both lip products are full sized- making it a bargain at $49.00 (Rouge D'Armani Lipsticks are $30.00 each and the Gloss D'Armani lip glosses are $28.00 each- therefore they are assigning a $2.00 value to the velvet clutch/makeup bag).
As I mentioned in in my review of Rouge D'Armani Beige 103, it is simply the perfect pink beige nude. It boasts a gloriously moisturizing formula, the perfect amount of cushion, and it is long-wearing. When it is topped off with Gloss D'Armani Beige 103 you can hear the angels sing. It's not so matchy-matchy as to be in the least bit boring because the gloss offers so much dimension and glistening goodness.

The Gloss D'Armani 103 itself leans more peach than the lipstick, and has the perfect amount of iridescence to be magical. It has the right amount of cushion, has a delectably smooth texture, is non-sticky, and is very comfortable to wear.

Armani suggests that Gloss D'Armani is, "More than a mere gloss… Concentrated high-definition color, fusing shine, comfort and lasting hold. Inspired by icons of the cinema, Giorgio Armani re-introduces glamour with Gloss d’Armani. Color-Fil Shine technology, with a translucent base that traps pigments and pearlescent particles for a hydrated, silky smooth feeling without any stickiness. Comfortable, stay-fast color is like a second skin that remains true for eight hours without fading or migrating."
This combination is simply nude pinky peach heaven, people!
Top: Rouge D'Armani Lipstick Beige 103 under Gloss D'Armani Beige 103
Middle: Gloss D'Armani  Beige103 alone
Bottom: Rouge D'Armani Lipstick Beige 103 alone
Overall assessment: Absolute fabulosity! Get it while you can! It's a great deal for two gorgeous go-to lippies that are lovely on their own and heavenly together!

$49.00 ($60.00 value) at Nordstrom.

  3. Looks soooo tempting, especially for the price! But I fear this is one of those that looks amazing in my head but in real life doesn't work. Ha ha :-) BTW, did you get a new camera? Your pictures lately are looking fantastic!!!

    1. Hi Gummy! They are permanent shades-- so you can swatch them first to see if they are colors that you would wear. I know just what you mean about certain colors looking amazing in my head, but not actually working for me!! It's definitely worth taking a look, in case these do work for you though. Plus the formula is extraordinary!!

I have been using the same camera that I have been using for quite a while now (one of those little Canon point and shoot models)-- I have just been experimenting with more interesting shots, and have been doing more close-ups and larger images. I'm so happy that you like my pictures!!!! <3

  4. Wow this really is a great set! Must resist buying this! Lol, I think I did enough damage at Sephora today with the 20% discount special.
I wanted to reply back to you about the Burberry blushes, but for some reason it won't let me do so :( Anyways, I do have those 2 exact shades you mentioned. Out of the 2 I prefer Peony more since it's a bit warmer. Misty is nice too, but it is very light and blue based. I would imagine Peony would look awesome with your olive tone complexion ;)

    1. It really is a gorgeous set, and the price is definitely right, but I know what you mean by needing to resist. That "must-have" list just never stops growing!!

OMG-- what did you get from the Sephora V.I.B. sale??! I am thinking about getting bundled up and going today!!

Thanks for the info about the Burberry blushes-- I will definitely get Peony, but I might pick up Misty as well!! I can't believe how much I am loving Burberry!!!!! I knew once I tried it I would be in trouble-- you were SO RIGHT about the line!! That's very strange that you were unable to leave a comment in the other post-- what type of message did you get? I can try to see if I can fix it if it was a problem on this end!!

Have a lovely weekend, Naomi!! xoxo

    2. I couldn't resist! I went ahead and ordered this set. It looks too gorgeous to pass up! I'm always searching for the perfect pink beige nude lip.
From Sephora I splurged mostly on Becca Cosmetics. They have a nice value set that contains their primer & mascara that I've read a lot of rave reviews on and of course I had to buy yet ANOTHER lip gloss (like I need a hole in my head as my mother would say) I chose the color Fallen Angel. Also I purchased their eyeliner in Goa and Radiant Skin Satin Foundation. I wanted to buy SR Bionic Cream, but of course that sold out quickly & Koh Gen Do Soft Gommage Spa Gel :( Hopefully before the sale is over they'll be back in stock. I have hope, as when I checked back earlier today they did have the SR Bionic available, but I didn't jump on it soon enough & it was out of stock again! Oh well, I figure I'll save that purchase for February if Barneys has another Bag Event. I might not get the savings, but hopefully the samples will be worth it ;)
Some glimmer of hope about Burberry's new quads, as I see more reviews trickle in, it seems like the quality varies depending on which shades you pick. I actually pre-order 2 of them to qualify for a gift with purchase a few weeks ago & I almost canceled it based on the poor reviews, but after I read one positive review on one of the palettes I picked I decided to keep my order. I should get them sometime this week & give you my honest opinion as you know I was not lying to you about how fabulous their single eyeshadows are! Lol...in the meantime if your interested in seeing swatches of the quads I recommend you check out IndigoKirRoyale blog if you haven't seen them yet. She has 5 of the 6 palettes swatched :)
Oh about me not being able to reply in the post- no worries it was definitely on my end ;)
Hope you get better this weekend & are well bundled up! I'm sure it must be freezing where you are. I'm in the San Gabriel Valley & it's so darn windy & chilly right now, brrr!

    3. Hi Naomi! It really is a great lip set-- and I think that Rouge D'Armani Beige 103 on its own is the perfect nude beige pink lip!!

Nice job at Sephora!! I should have picked up some things from Becca, but didn't! I guess I still could online though :-) Did you check at your local Sephora to see if they had the SR & KGD at the physical location? I saw both at the Santa Monica Sephora yesterday. It would be nicer to get 20% than to have to wait for the BNY February bag event.

I went and looked at IndigoKirRoyale's Burberry palette swatches, and they are really tempting!! I might have to swing into Nordstrom or Saks to see them in person. I can't wait to hear your take on them-- andyou are quite right that you didn't understate just how fabulous their singles are!!!

It's pretty cold in LA as well, but you are probably a touch colder in the SGV-- I didn't realize that we lived so close!!! My husband actually works in Pasadena!

Stay warm! Talk to you soon! xoxox

  5. *gasp* TOO too pretty! I was unsure when I read "Beige" in the title, but the swatches are GORGEOUS! And the price is just right! Must definitely check this out!

    1. HI Becca!! I know, the "Beige" is a touch misleading. Since these are both part of the permanent collection- I would suggest swatching them to see if they work for you, and if they do-- snap up one of these sets!!! <3

Well done to you and how crazy am I?!

    1. Thanks for the good laugh!! That's hysterical! Save your money, my love!! Unless you are low on either, I wouldn't bother for the sake of the deal!! I do know just what you mean though, I would be tempted because of the "deal"- that said, I have a stash of backups that I will probably never get to!!

  11. The colors looks amazing but I guess I have to pass on these products. Why? Simply because I used to have pale lips and I would rather go for a much darker shade but not too dark. So sad that I could not try these products =(
