Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics: Crushed Mineral Blush in Sherbet- Review & Swatches

Youngblood Crushed Mineral Blush is a very versatile high quality finely milled, and highly pigmented loose powder blush that is multipurpose.

Give cheeks, temples, eyes or even lips a healthy, natural glow! Highly pigmented minerals provide buildable coverage for a natural-looking flush. The specially designed sifter makes dispensing easy and precise.
Youngblood Crushed Mineral Blushes are ideal for contouring and giving that natural hint of color for the cheeks. You can even use Youngblood Blushes as and eye shadow or lip tint. To contour cheeks, jaw line, nose or brow: Choose a darker blush, such as Adobe. Apply with the Youngblood Contour Blush Brush, feather and blend, then choose a lighter color such Dusty Pink or Plumberry and apply to the apple of your cheek with a Youngblood Super Powder Brush. Using a swirling motion, softly blend the blush downward. Touch-dust overall with Youngblood Rice Setting Powder for the softest of looks. To highlight or brighten the eye area: Use Tulip, Dusty Pink or Coral Reef. Apply with Youngblood Eye Shadow Brush wet or dry. Mix or blend blushes, such as Plumberry, into your favorite lipgloss or lip balm.
Sherbet is described by Youngblood as a "gold-laced pink-peach," it sparkles and twinkles in the sunlight without being overly glittery. Instead it offers a gorgeous glow and luminescence that is immensely flattering. From the moment that I swatched this gorgeous peachy pink shade I thought  that it was a far more gorgeous version of NARS Orgasm blush. Sherbet is a real stunner!
Perhaps the greatest surprise is just how silky smooth and ultra finely milled Sherbet is. One assumes that all loose mineral blushes are going to be about the same in terms of milling, but not so here. This is no ordinary loose mineral blush- instead this is a high quality luxury blush that boasts quality superior to any loose mineral blush that I have ever tried. I expected application to be a big messy endeavor that would require too much blending to be worth the trouble. However, I am thrilled to report that applied effortlessly and blended perfectly and evenly with no effort at all.
I really love everything about this blush, and I love that it is a fantastic multipurpose product. I also love the sturdy packaging, but I do wish that the sifter included a nice deep well.  When you open the container you see that the sifter is a flat surface without a well to catch the loose powder- therefore powder does have a tendency to to go all over the place making it a little tricky to use without making a mess on all adjacent surfaces.
Ingredients: Mica (CI 77019), Zinc Stearate, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Kaolin, Dimethicone. May Contain: Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Ultramarines (CI 77007), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Carmine (CI 75470), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).
Overall assessment: This is the highest quality loose mineral blush that I have tried to date. It is so finely milled and beautifully pigmented, and a real pleasure to use. I simply cannot recommend Youngblood products highly enough-- this is an extraordinary company that makes exquisite products that are a true pleasure to use. Youngblood is Cruelty Free! A+

  1. It's breathtakingly beautiful! I find that loose powders give some of the best effect but the messiness is something I'm too lazy to deal with. One of my favourite blushes of all time is an old bareMinerals.

    1. It really is a gorgeous shade! They can be extremely messy. My only complaint about this one is the lack of a built-in well to capture the product!! bareMinerals definitely has made some amazing blushes!!

    1. It is a seriously gorgeous blush. I tend to prefer pressed or baked blushes over loose powders as well, but this one is seriously gorgeous and worth the extra trouble. You are so welcome!

  3. Wow this is really, really gorgeous. I agree, I think I like it more than Nars Orgasm--Orgasm is just too golden-shimmery. This one has shimmer but it doesn't overpower the peachy color
