Susan Thompson Cosmetics Creamy Lipsticks are gloriously creamy, comfortable to wear, and rival the best luxury lipsticks in quality and beauty. They are longwearing, moisturizing, silky smooth, gorgeously pigmented, buildable, and they feel light and comfortable on the lips. They also include refined HD particles making them perfect for HD and Red Camera Projects, but were likewise created for everyday use.
For a long time I have favored wearing lip gloss over lipstick, one of the primary reasons has been that many lipsticks have tended to dry out my lips, or they have felt too heavy and present for my taste. These Creamy Lipsticks are so comfortable and luminescent that I simply can't resist their charms. I actually find myself reaching for these over lip glosses these days!

True Love (reviewed here): Celebrate all of the love around you! Lady-like soft pink and nude tones say you are adored! This a gorgeous neutral pink nude that is sure to thrill all of the nude lip loving goddesses out there. This romantic shade was named to celebrate the feeling of being in love (and I am in love with this lipstick!).

Kelsey (review forthcoming): Bahama lighting and reflective sandy hues take you on a well deserved vacation while moisturizing your lips! This complex nude neutral kissed by copper is simply gorgeous, and it is named after Susan's niece.

Madelynn (review forthcoming): Stunning and sweet raspberry hues that command the attention of everyone around! This is a luscious kissable berry hue that was named after Susan's niece.

Kayla (review forthcoming): Smooth and creamy sand tones with gold flecks for a sun kissed look that says you are relaxed and fun! This gorgeous sandy nude is named after Susan's niece.

Cleo (review forthcoming): Seductive wine tones that take you away to Paris, chic and modern like the finest wine. This divine and elegant shade is named after Susan's beloved grandmother who helped raise her.

Joplin (review forthcoming): Classic Red that symbolizes bold leadership and classic old Hollywood glamour. I often fear red lipsticks, but this is the most perfect blue-based elegant red lipstick that I have ever seen! It is also rather poetic that Susan, who began playing with her mom's red lipstick at a young age, fittingly created the most elegant and gorgeous red lipstick imaginable. Named to pay tribute to Joplin, Missouri- a place close to Susan's heart because she vacationed there during her summers as a child, but also because her beloved Joplin was devastated by a tornado in 2011.

Overall assessment: This is a fantastic lipstick formula that is supremely wearable, very comfortable, and simply stunning. I also never thought that I would comfortably wear a red lip, but Joplin has definitely changed my mind about that! I love these lipsticks. I have been wearing Cleo every single day!

In the spirit of full disclosure, Susan is my friend and she gave all of these items to me as a gift. It is because I love these products so much that I decided to review them, and had I not loved them I simply would have avoided reviewing them because of our friendship. As is the case with all of my reviews, I am not being paid, and as always the opinions that I express are 100% my own. I wildly love all of her products, and therefore wanted to let you in on this beauty & entertainment industry insider secret because I think these products are too good to remain so exclusive.

  1. Is lanolin vegan? I mean, milking a cow doesn't hurt it, but it still isn't vegan to drink milk.

    2. Dear Anonymous,

Thank you for catching this. When the lab mixed up the formula they ensured me it was vegan! As I am an artist, not a chemist, I took them on their expert word. I have addressed this with them and am working on making all my products vegan. In the meantime they are paraben free.

      Thanks for writing to Lola!

    3. Dear Anonymous,

Thank you for writing in and pointing this out. While developing these formulas the lab ensured me that everything is vegan! As a make up artist (not a chemist) I assumed as experts they are vegan! I have personally contacted them and am looking forward to this being rectified. In the meantime they are paraben free.

      Will keep you posted...stay tuned!
