  2. wow, nice haul!! :) I can't wait till the states gets the foundation from Illamasqua...Second Skin? I can't remember the name of it right now but from the reviews it looks promising. I really like their glosses, they aren't sheer and actually don't just slide off!

I want to try the Phytolisse Smoothing Mask. Can't wait for your review!

  3. Thanks, Nicolle! I'm pretty happy so far!

Do you mean Illamasqua's New Skin Base Foundation? It looks so promising to me as well- I'm really interested in trying it. I wonder how long it will be before it comes to the States?! I love the whole second-skin foundation look. I have been wearing MAKE UP FOR EVER's Face & Body a lot lately, and really like it (I reviewed it here):

Have you tried it? If so, do you like it? I love the thin silky texture, and the fact that it's buildable.

I like Illamasqua's glosses too- especially the more pigmented ones. I think that Illamasqua makes really nice quality products.

I can't wait to use the Phytolisse Smoothing Mask-- I will use it in the next few days and then review it. I really love Phyto products!

    1. Yes, that is the one! I have gone through so many foundation and still looking for one that works. I was to try out the Sunday Riley foundation but I have not been able to find swatches online. I would hate to buy it online and then have to return it if the shade is off. I will try the Make Up Forever one you suggested though. I used the HD one but was not crazy about it...my skin looked dry/flaky.

I just bought new shampoo and conditioner. It's Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil Shampoo and Silk Bloom Conditioner. I really love it. I hope you like the mask, if you have a positive review, I will get a sample and try it too.

    2. Hi Nicolle, I thought that was the one that you were talking about. I really want to try it. Did you see my post about how to choose the right Sunday Riley finishing product shade (I can't remember if we discussed this elsewhere). This should take a lot of the guesswork out of finding the right shade

I really like the MAKE UP FOR EVER Face & Body. Ask for a sample next time you are at Sephora- it comes in a glass bottle with a pump- so you don't have to worry about getting a contaminated product that has had everyone's dirty little fingers in it. I started out with a sample and really liked it so I ended up buying a bottle during Friends & Family. This is nothing like their HD Foundation-- I tried a sample and hated it-- it made my skin look dry and flaky as well-- it looked completely unnatural and kind of gross!!

I have heard really great things about Shu Uemura's shampoos and conditioners. I think that I might try the mask today- if I get around to it- then I will post my review soon.

    3. I must have missed that post about the foundation shades, I'll check it out.

I went to Sephora today but totally forgot to check out the Make Up Forever foundation! I hate when that happens. I was on the hunt for a new perfume. My was a limited edition at Sephora and now I can only get it through Amazon or Ebay :(

    4. I do that all the time at Sephora!! I have to go with a list-- otherwise I ALWAYS forget things. I look like a crazy person with a long list of things to check out, to swatch, and to buy. I even have to carry a list of things that I already have so that I don't repurchase the same thing (that mostly applies to MAKE UP FOR EVER eye shadows). I think that you will like the MUFE Face & Body foundation-- it has quickly become one of my favorites.

Finding a new perfume can take so long, for me at least. Limited Edition is such a pain, and getting those things through Amazon and Ebay is so dodgy because of all of the fakes! I just discovered a new fragrance (to me) that I have been wearing for a little while that I'm about to review. It's called Kai-- my sister got a a bunch of their products as a Christmas gift and gave me one of the two Body Buffers she received (which I really like and reviewed), but every time that I go to her house I use her perfume. Barneys also included a sample in their gift bag-- so now I am thinking about buying a bottle! It's a lovely floral scent (blend of Gardenias and exotic white flowers). It's really nice for the summer. I got a Barneys Gift Certificate for my birthday- so I think that I might buy a bottle!

    1. I really like Illamasqua- the eye shadows, blushes, lipsticks and lip glosses have lovely pigmentation, and everything is so finely milled! They can be quite theatrical in their looks, but one does not have to be theatrical or bold in their makeup application to love and wear their makeup. I tend to wear my makeup in a far more subdued fashion, but I really love their products. The line is offered at Sephora and Sephora.com, but not all their physical stores stock it (which is really too bad!).
