CHANEL LÈVRES SCINTILLANTES GLOSSIMER in GIGGLE (#46)- REVIEW

I have always been a huge fan of Chanel makeup- there are simply so many amazing products in their beauty arsenal that it would take all day long to list off their many achievements over the years. However, if I had to pick two products that are my all time favorites out of the vast sea of Chanel goodies it would have to be their LÈVRES SCINTILLANTES GLOSSIMERS and their JOUES CONTRASTE POWDER BLUSHES [Chanel, if you are listening: Please repromote Pink Explosion (#64) & Narcisse (#44) JC blushes in the US!]. These lip glosses and blushes are simply outstanding in their quality, and truly joyous to use.

One of my absolute all time favorite glossimers from their permanent collection is Giggle, and I think that this spectacular Glossimer is often overlooked by so many Chanel enthusiasts. This gorgeous muted pinky-mauvey beige color gives the perfect MLBB (my lips but better) effect that is so sought after. The texture is simply divine- it's not too thick, not too thin, and not too sticky (but sticky enough to have some staying power). It is a pretty opaque shade, but can certainly be sheered out. It pulls a little cool, but is neutral enough to work across skin tones. You could conceivably find colors close to this from other lines, but truthfully this color and the overall quality is so fantastic that it really is worth the splurge. This is definitely my Holy Grail MLBB lipgloss, and you would be shocked to know how many makeup artists keep this unassuming treasure in their kits. This is probably one of the most versatile glossimers you could ever hope to find: it is perfect for a minimalist natural look, gorgeous with a smokey eye, fabulous over a liner, superb over a lipstick, and stellar all on its own. It is so stunning that it can go from jeans to the red carpet with no trouble at all.

Overall assessment: Head over heels in love. One of my favorite lip products of all time!

$29.50 where Chanel Cosmetics are sold.
