Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream Review

Bobbi Brown's Hydrating Eye Cream is a really quick absorbing super moisturizing eye cream that is a solid performer. It isn't a super rich and thick formula- which is a plus for me since those types of eye creams nearly always give me milia. This eye cream keeps my delicate under eye area hydrated all day long- even if I apply concealer. When I use it at night my eyes are always hydrated, moisturized, and appear refreshed the following morning. I think that Bobbi Brown's skincare line is often overlooked and overshadowed by her makeup line, but she really makes some high quality, no frills, pleasant to use, and last but not least effective products for the face and body. In truth, I have yet to be disappointed by anything that I have tried from her skincare range of products. She makes no unreasonable claims, and offers no unattainable fountain of youth promises. Instead, Bobbi Brown offers hardworking basic products that clean, moisturize, exfoliate, tone, protect from the sun, along with a few straight forward and effective serums.

According to Bobbi Brown,
This quick-absorbing eye cream delivers naturally-occurring humectants that melt into the skin, leaving the eye area soft, smooth and refreshed for up to 24 hours. A perfect level of emollients imparts a lightweight texture, allowing concealer to glide on evenly - Aloe Vera and Witch Hazel Extract soothe and comfort; Jojoba Seed, Avocado Oil and Squalane condition and revive continuously.

Overall assessment: I am really surprised by how much I like this eye cream. That it hasn't given me any milia is a must to keep it in my rotation, but I somehow thought that it was going to fall short and truthfully it hasn't.

  1. I am looking for a new eye cream! Mine will last maybe one more week and I'll be done. I was debating between 3Lab, Sunday Riley, and Shiseido. I don't know about you but some make my eyes burn, if my eyes get watery and mix w/the eye cream I have to wash it all off. The latest experience was from La Mer. Thank goodness, it was a sample!

  2. I have always found it so difficult to find a good eye cream that does everything that I want it to do, and not cause milia. So many make my eyes water as well. I was surprised by how much I actually like this one. However, since your eyes are sensitive I would try to get a sample to see if you like it first (and to make sure that your eyes don't react). I love the Sunday Riley eye cream, but they have active ingredients to depuff- so it will likely cause your eyes to water at first-- plus it is a very light eye cream- so it may not be what you are looking for. I would get a sample of that one as well. I have a sample of 3LAB eye cream (WW Eye Cream) that I was going to start testing out. I haven't tried anything from Shiseido in years! I wonder what ingredients in La Mer bugged your eyes- I can't remember if they put fragrance in their eye creams, but I do remember that both of them do have a very distinctive smell.
